Colombo Uni and Korea Maritime and Ocean University to sign MoU
View(s):The cabinet has approved the signing of a memorandum of understanding for education cooperation between the University of Colombo and the Korea Maritime and Ocean University of South Korea.
The government expects to promote education and carry out combined research programmes and organise workshops and conferences under the MoU.
Both parties have agreed to implement the functions of the proposed MoU primarily in relation to biochemistry, molecular biosciences, and biotechnology of the University of Colombo.
The cabinet approved to empower the proposed MoU for a period of five years.
