50 students recieve awards at Pearl Hobby Craft convocation

Pearl Hobby Craft (PHC) held its 8th convocation and 17th anniversary certificates and awards ceremony at the Ramada Hotel, Colombo recently.
PHC is a training institute registered under the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission. It conducts vocational training courses for ladies in general cookery, cake making, tailoring and hand crafts. Over 1,000 students have qualified so far, and this year over 50 students received certificates and awards.
Deputy Director of Education, Zonal Education Office Colombo M H Mumthaz Begum was chief guest at the event, and co-founder of Austin Law Chambers Ahmed Imran Irfana (attorney-at-law) was guest of honour. PHC chief instructor Riza Fawazdeen, PHC administrator F Waseefa Fawazdeen, parents and students were present.
