Engage wellness centre to provide quality care for elderly
View(s):Engage, a wellness centre for the aged, was opened on Thursday at 1044/11, Pothuarawa Road, Malabe. Former minister Rosy Senanayake and Abans Group CFO Chandrika Perera were present at the event.
Engage is managed by Pearl Cluster Management. The centre is a luxury residential facility offering quality care, in-house medical services, consultations, daily therapeutic and exercise activities, customized. Services extend beyond the wellness centre to include a daycare facility operating from 8 am to 5 pm every day. offering healthy meals, and physiotherapy.
“Engage aims to provide a great opportunity for both local and international individuals to offer exceptional care for their elderly parents and relatives,” Dr Sithira Senavirathne, a consultant geriatrician, said at the opening.
Engage has also enlisted well-known professionals to provide their expertise. Asgiri Seneviratne will conduct sessions on loneliness management. Dr Aruni Malwatta will provide guidance on culinary medicine to promote a healthier lifestyle.
