Chappel Roan tops  UK Singles chart
Chappell Roan has topped the UK singles chart with ‘Pink Pony Club’ to give the 27 year old US artist her very first UK No.1 song.  Interestingly is that the song was released in 2019, as the first track of her debut album ‘The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess’. It failed to get much attention until last year. In the UK ‘Pink Pony Club’ has had two runs on the chart. Last year for seven weeks it was hovering around until it peaked at 13. Last January with the awards season Chappell Roan’s song began to get attention giving a second chart run starting at 22. This week the sleeper track moved up one notch to give the Missouri born singer her very first UK chart topping song. Roan wrote the song under her own name Kayleigh Amstutz with the assistance of her producer Daniel Nigro.
