Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging is subtle and sophisticated where the artist expresses his/ her creativity using natural materials, conventional and unconventional materials. The fundamentals of Ikebana are the same as they have been centuries ago but the art form has now evolved to suit modern times.

The chief guest at the show is the Patron, Ambassador for Japan in Sri Lanka Akio Isomata.

Ikebana demonstrations will be held on both days at 4.30 p.m. by the teachers from Sogetsu School.

Entrance tickets are priced at Rs. 500 and part proceeds of the show will be donated to the children’s cancer ward of Apeksha Hospital.
