Sri Pragnasagara Maha Pirivena inaugurated
View(s):The inauguration of the Sri Pragnasagara Maha Pirivena and the Siri Sumanatissa Bhikkhu Training Institute at the Ovilikanda Sri Vijayarama Maha Viharaya in Matale was held under the patronage of Ven Egodamule Amaramoli Mahanayake Thero, Mahanayake of the Ariyawansa Saddhammayutthika chapter of the Sri Lanka Amarapura Maha Nikaya and Chief Incumbent of the Rambadagalle Vidyasagara Pirivena Maha Viharaya.
These activities were carried out under the leadership of the Chief Incumbent of the Sri Vijayarama Maha Viharaya in Ovilikanda, Matale, Sri Pragnasagara Maha Pirivena and the Director of the Siri Sumanatissa Bhikkhu Puhunu Dharmayathanaya, Kirimatiyawa Rahula Thero, the Sanghanayake of the Central Province of the Ariyawansa Saddhammayuttika Parshana. Five novice monks were ordained at the event.
Present on this occasion were Ve Ihalamulla Sugunawansa Thero, Anunayake of the Ariyawansa Saddhammayuttika faction, Secretary of the All-Ceylon Sasana Board, Ven Mugunuwela Anuruddha Thero, Assistant Director of Education of Matale Pirivena, Venerable Maussawe Aggadhamma Thero, The Incumbent of Fuji Sugatha Viharaya in Japan, the Chief Sangha Chief of the Ariyawansa Saddhammayutthika Sect of the Sri Lankan Amarapura Maha Nikaya, Hurulunikawewe Sudhamma Thero, and a group of donors and members of the Maha Sangha.
