Dr A M A Azeez memorial oration

The Dr A M A Azeez commemoration meeting and memorial oration will be held on Wednesday April 9 at 4.30 pm at the Ghaffoor Hall, Zahira College, 406, Orabi Pasha Mawatha, Colombo 10.
Dr B A Hussainmiya, Fulbright Professor and Scholar-in-Residence, Florida International University, Miami and former professor in History, University of Brunei, will deliver the oration on the subject of “Muslims and Education: In Search of Excellence”.
The Meeting will be jointly chaired by Khalid M Farouk, President of the Dr A M A Azeez Foundation and Amhar Shareef, National President of the All Ceylon YMMA Conference.
The publication ‘A M A Azeez’s Contribution to Agriculture in the East‘ will be released at the meeting. His efforts to boost local food production during the second world war, made Ampara District the granary of the East. The book highlights Dr Azeez’s greatest achievement surpassing all others.
