Introduction to NIBM Certification Hub

These programmes are conducted by certified resource personnel and professionals to develop internationally competent IT experts capable of performing industry-oriented responsibilities across various domains in the tech industry.
Purpose of Establishing the NIBM Certification Hub
In today’s IT industry both locally and globally, possessing practical and job-oriented skills is just as important as theoretical knowledge as employers seek professionals who can contribute successfully to real-world projects while adapting to rapidly evolving technologies. Skills such as programming, network implementations, system design, and testing are in high demand. Most companies often enquire about professional certifications to verify a potential candidate’s capabilities. Therefore, the NIBM Certification Hub was established to fulfill this growing demand by facilitating access to obtain industry-relevant certifications under one roof, making it easier for students to upskill and validate their expertise.

How to Enroll and Proceed with the Certification Hub
The certification programmes offered by the academies are open to both NIBM students and external candidates. Interested individuals are requested to visit the School of Computing and Engineering at NIBM, Colombo 7 for registration. Enrolled students will receive complete access to all official learning materials provided by the respective academies connected with the Certification Hub. Upon completion of the course, participants will be guided to sit for the certification tests. Most importantly, successful candidates will receive dual certification, one from the respective academy and another from NIBM, adding value to their professional profile.
