These are days and nights, when all roads are closed for VIP traffic. When male cops and WPCs alike are behind every bush along the route. When Cabinet Ministers travel with pilot cars, escort cars, back-up cars and dummy convoys. When opposition MPs and party provincial councillors accompanied by bodyguards and their hangers-on have their Pajeros driven as if they owned the road and the pavement too.

So, it was so nice to see a change. And that at least some VIPs, have not changed.

Last Wednesday after a State dinner for the visiting South African MPs, the wife of a Cabinet Minister was seen driving her husband into the cool of the rainy night on their way back home. A Cultured Minister, what? Absolutely.
