A condolence book has been opened at the residence of the Iranian Ambassador in Colombo for those wishing to express their sympathy and solidarity with the Iranian people over the death of the late Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other Iranians who have been killed in attacks by the U.S. and Israel.
Sri Lankans, including politicians as well as Colombo-based diplomats of various foreign nations have been arriving at the residence of the ambassador since this morning to sign the book and offer their condolences.
The Sunday Times captured these images at the residence of the ambassador this morning. Those who visited to sign the condolence book included National Freedom Front Wimal Weerawansa, as well as the Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan, the High Commissioner of Malaysia and the Ambassador of Russia.
