President of Vietnam scheduled to visit SL on May 7

The President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Tô Lâm is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka on May 7, following an invitation given by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to sign several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) covering multiple sectors to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

Police constable arrested for bribery 

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has arrested a police constable attached to the Peliyagoda Police Headquarters over allegations of soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 200,000.
