Dinusha Bandara, a differently abled student at the Cottagala Special School in Mawanella has scored 145 marks at this year’s Grade 5 Scholarship examination.
A budding artist Dinusha, who uses her mouth to draw and write, has already won art competitions at the National Level.
The Principal of the school said that out of five students who sat for the examinations from the school this year, Dinusha had to face the greatest challenge as she was not able to use her hands to write the answers on the paper.
Speaking about her achievement, Dinusha said that she was able to score well since she used to revise her lessons on a regular basis. She also added that she aspires to become a teacher in future.
