Cricket: New Zealand ‘A’ to arrive in Sri Lanka to play five games

The New Zealand ‘A’ team will arrive in Sri Lanka on April 2 to play three One Day matches and two Four-Day games during a month-long tour.

Sri Lanka Cricket stated that it will make use of the tour to prepare national players for upcoming international assignments while also providing an opportunity to young and emerging players and keep them ready to compete at the highest level of the game when the opportunity arises.

New Zealand ‘A’ will play three One Day matches against Sri Lanka ‘A’ with the first game set to be played on April 5 at the Galle International Stadium.

Both teams will travel down to Sooriyawewa to play the remaining two One Day games scheduled for April 8 and 11.

Sooriyawewa will be the venue for the two Unofficial Test matches between Sri Lanka ‘A’ and New Zealand ‘A’, slotted to be played from April 16 to 19, followed by the second and final game from April 23 to 26.
