    On April 5, 1829 Ehelapola Dissawe, the first Adigar (Maha Adikaram) during the regime of the last King of Kandy, Sri Vickrama Rajasinghe died in Mauritius where he had been banished by the British after the rebellion of 1817-18.
  • Pocahontas the True Princess
    Lyceum International School, Nugegoda, will be presenting 'Pocahontas the True Princess' this April. The star, Pocahontas, will be played by 11 year old Aamina Mohammed.
  • Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
    An adaptation of Roald Dahl's famous 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ will be presented by the Royal College Drama Society, with the assistance of the Old Royalists Association of Dramatists, next week-end.
