Suraj and Harshini : 'Coke Ambassadors'

Harshini Perera and Suraj Mapa, two of the young stars of the local entertainment scene joined the Coca-Cola team as the new 'Coke Ambassadors' early this month.

Harshini is a multi-faceted young talent. An actress and jewellery designer by profession, she started her career as a Creative Director for Agasti Jewels in 1999. In 2004 she clinched the coveted Miss Sri Lanka title and then went on to win the Queen of Asia Award at the Miss World pageant. Harshini also modelled for Christian Dior, New York, and recently shot to fame by starring in the popular movie 'Hiri Poda Vessa' as the school teacher.

Suraj Mapa is no stranger to Sri Lanka either. An actor by profession, he has starred in over thirteen tele dramas and has also taken part in three international dance shows. Suraj has been recognized as the most popular actor at the Tele Festival in 2005 and was nominated as the Best Upcoming Actor in 2003. He also won the Freshers and Beginners Award for Latin American Dancing in 2002.
