NFC starts Mobile cinemas in rural areas The National Film Corporation (NFC) is to start mobile film screening in areas where cinemas are not available. The NFC invites organizers and representatives on a district basis to register to have film shown on their respective areas. Under this new scheme NFC hopes to assist organizers who are keen to have screening in the areas where there are no cinemas, film screening for special occasions and film screened for worthy causes. Registration is open till June 30 and application forms are available at Cinema Cultural Unit of the NFC, No 303, Bullers Road, Colombo-7.
Wanted Child actors/actresses for ‘Madol Duwa’ The director of Madol Duwa film, Thilanka Perera would select the Juvenile actors and actresses on 16 Friday, June 2006, at the Tharanganie Hall of the National Film Corporation, No. 303, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7. He invites prospective children in the age group 10 to 18 years to present themselves with their parent/guardian for a screen test from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
