Prasanna’s ‘Sankara’ ready for
release
Prasanna Jayakody has completed his debut directorial
venture in the silver screen, 'Sankara' and is ready to be released
in EAP circuit cinemas around the countr soon.

Prasanna completed the shooting on location in
around Thanamalwila area within thirty days and the film is cued
up for its turn for screening. The director had brought the copies
from India and awaiting for the approval of its trailer by the Public
Performance Board (Censor Board).

‘It was a smooth sail without any hardships
and I must be thankful to my crew who have been working with me
a long time’ Prasanna said in a satisfactory note.
Prasanna the young director who shows his excellence
in almost all his award winning teledramas, was able to make his
filmmaking dream come true when his colleague Somaratne Dissanayake
opted to become his producer.
Directed and scripted by Prasanna, in the technical
crew Palitha Perera handled the camera, Ravindra Guruge as editor,
Sunil Wijeratne as art director and musical score by Nadeeka Guruge
contributed. Ashoka Athaudahetti assisted Prasanna in direction.
Thumindu Dodenthenna, Sachini Ayendra, Nilusha
Heenkendaarachchi and K. Milton Perera played in the pivotal in
'Sankara'.
