for ‘Ali Petiya’

‘Ali Petio Oyai Mamai’
the latest release now being screened in the CEL circuit
is creating record box office revenue.
‘The film which was released
on August 24 had Rs. 9 million collection from the first
17 days’ said CEL spokesman, Thusitha de Alwis.
The film had been released in 24 theatres
including Regal Colombo and over 191062 patrons have
watched the film.
This was the highest collection in
CEL circuit cinemas since the record revenue of 'Adaraneeya
Wassanaya' in 2004.
'Ali Petiyo Oyai Mamai' is the fifth
cinematic direction of Lal Priyadewa.
It depicts a close relationship between
a young boy and a baby elephant and is played by Bimal
Jayakody, Bandu Samarasinghe, Ananda Wickremage, Prashani
Perera with child star Dananjaya Lakmal.
In the technical crew Ven Rambukkana
Siddhartha Thera had written the lyrics while music
direction is by Edward Jayakody.
