Tough battles for Navarathne and Bambarande

Senior girls provided high standards at the All Island Schools Age Group Badminton Championships continued at the SLBA headquarters yesterday.

Dilini Navarathne of Museaus had to ward off a strong challenge from Uma Perera of Visakha. The game lasted for 30 minutes with Navarathne winning in the end by two sets to one. In another thriller E. Bambarande of Devi Balika overcame I. Udayanganie in a close three setter.
