A message to our leaders

Sirens piercing the still night,
Bombs blasting during our tests;
Ceasefires are only
temporary,
But will this war never come to a rest?

Friends in the North are being recruited,
As soldiers, against their will,
Innocent lives being
sacrificed;
How I yearn for this
warfront to be still.

I'm told I'm still a child
But I'll help in my small way.
But I cannot end this war myself,
So stand up, fight with me.

Step out of your Mercedes Benz,
Just watch our soldiers, so brave;
Let's forget about personal glory or gain,
If we get together, our country we'll save.
