ICASL workshop on ‘Triple Bottom Line Reporting”

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka is holding a workshop on “Sustainability-Towards Triple Bottom Line Reporting” on November 28 at Hotel Galadari Colombo.

Triple Bottom Line (TBL) reporting is a buzz word in today’s annual reporting where a company reports on its performance on financial, environmental and social fields. It encourages the measurement, management and communication of environment, social and economic results on an equal basis. This sustainability reporting is now recognized as a key component of corporate transparency and accountability. As a result the implementation of specific legislation or environmental management systems is increasing rapidly.

John Petty, FCA Australia’s representative on the IFAC Professional Accountants in Business committee will conduct the workshop. He is the Principal Consultant of Pitcher Partners, Sydney, and Lecturer at University of Technology, Sydney where he lectures in management accounting and small industries.
