NDB Chairman planned to retire

NDB Bank Chairman S.K.Wickremesinghe had been planning to resign at the end of last month but was persuaded to stay on till merger negotiations with Commercial Bank are completed.

He reveals this in the Bank’s latest annual report. Wickremesinghe said the board of directors urged him to continue in office until these discussions are over.
