Shani Mendis of Ceylinco with better power play nudged her opponent Soraya Miskin of Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank 21/17, 14/21, 21/10 to enter the semifinals of the Dulux Mercantile Badminton Open Novices Championships[s continued at the Royal College Sports Complex yesterday.

The game went into a hard fought three-setter lasting 30 minutes. The Ceylinco shuttlers dominated yesterday’s matches. Thirty six firms are taking part in the competition. Today’s matches will commence at 9 a.m. The finals will be worked of on Monday (April 9_ at 4.30 p.m.

Mr. Gerald de Saram, Managing Director CIC will be the Chief Guest.
