For most, the tsunami which hit Sri Lanka in December 2004 with the ferocity of a predator is now only a distant memory. But for many thousands, those terrible waves are as real as if they shattered their lives yesterday. 
I called him “Thabu Aiya”. His sudden death on March 15 was a shock to all of us and his beloved wife and two daughters.
