Jaffna Church cuts off links with South India
The Jaffna Diocese of the Church of South India has cut off links with the Church of South India from July 3 and reverted to the American Ceylon Mission which was founded by American missionaries in 1816 in Jaffna.
A group supporting the move said this will pave the way for the emergent church to be a church in Sri Lanka committed to its call to be involved in a mission of peace with justice for all the members of the country.
