EPDP, Karuna faction war spreads to the web
The Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP) and the Karuna faction known as the Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Perani (TMVP) have declared a cyber-war against each other as they prepare for local polls in the Eastern Province.
 
President demands Rs. 2 billion from Ranil
President Mahinda Rajapaksa has sent UNP and Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe a Letter of Demand for Rs. 2 billion (Rs, 2,000,000,000) for allegedly defaming the President at a public rally in Kegalle recently.
 
Fifteen bodies of LTTE cadres found: Military
Army commandos carrying out clearing operations in the Thoppigala area yesterday found 15 bodies of LTTE cadres, military sources said. It is believed that the Tigers were killed when they were fleeing in two tractors on Friday evening and were fired at by the commandos.
