Aruni off for Miss Tourism Intl

Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe, Aruni Rajapakse will be representing Sri Lanka at the Miss Tourism Queen International 2007 in China from July 7 to August 2. Aruni will spend about three weeks touring in China. Miss Tourism Queen International 2007 which will be the fourth annual edition of the Miss Tourism Queen International beauty pageant will have more than 100 delegates from around the world vying for the crown.

“The Tourist Board of Sri Lanka has been actively involved in training Aruni on the tourism promotional aspect of Sri Lanka” said Rosita Wickremasinghe, National Director for Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe. The local contest is organised by Images Studio Pvt. Ltd.

With each country’s tourism ambassadors gathering together, Miss Tourism Queen International aims at enhancing tourism development, the friendship among different countries and international culture exchange.

In 1993, the Miss Tourism Queen International Organization held its first world pageant in Sri Lanka.
