Sebs will go marching on to the beat of Rajiv and the Clan, when seven Test Caps produced by St. Sebastian's College, Moratuwa will be honoured in a fitting felicitation at the Hotel Holiday Inn on Sunday, July 13.
The seven Test Cricketers of St. Sebastian's College are veteran Captain Duleep Mendis, spinner Roger Wijesuriya, opening bat Susil Fernando, who opened with Sidath, explosive hard hitter Romesh Kaluwitharana, popularly known as 'Little Kalu', pacies Sajeewa de Silva, Dinusha Fernando and current Test Wicket keeper Prasanna Jayawardena.
The entertainment at this Felicitation Ceromony will be provided by Rajiv Sebastian and his Clan and feature Sunil Perea, of Gypsies,
Annesly Malawana, Indranie Perera, Ginger and few other artistes from Moratuwa. Incidentaly, Sunil and Rajiv are also Sebastianites.
This ceremony is organized by the Golden Sebs Group of the College and on this day they also honour their Super Achievers in their respective careers - namely Rt. Rev. Valance Mendis, Prof. Shyam Fernando, Bede Fernando, Priyan Arsakularatne along with the present Rector of the College, Rev. Fr. Bonnie Fernandopulle.
Apart from the musical session from Rajiv, Sunil, Annesley, Indarni and the rest, there will be few other entertainment events including Al Latino Dance performances.
The function is for limited invitees including several distinguished personalities.
The Chief Guest for this function is Most Rev. Dr. Oswald Gomis, Arch Bishop of Colombo.
The master of ceremonies will be none other than veteran Vijaya Corea.
