‘Golden Eve- 2008’, a musical evening with the performance of Western Band of D. S. Senanayake College, Colombo was held at the BMICH recently.

A sixty member band with guitars, violin, Saxophone, piccolo, flute and trumpet played to the singing of students of the school and a number of guest artistes including Keerthi Pasquel, Priyantha Fernando, Kamal Addaraarachchi.

Students of Visakha Vidyalaya and Sirimawo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya who participated st this concert rendered their voices to the music of the Western band of D. S. Senanayake College.

The musical evening was organized by Ms. Swarna Gurusinghe, in charge of Western music under the guidance of principal, Ashoka Senani and deputy principal Ms. Leelani Samaranayake.
