New chairman at Insurance Board
 

Udayasri Kariyawasam, former chairman of the Bank of Ceylon and Ceylon Electricity Board, has been appointed by President Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Chairman of the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka, the insurance regulator said. He served as a Board Member of the Insurance Board in 2004 and 2005 and during his period he had contributed immensely to the progress of the Insurance Board, it said..
