Chinese astronaut starts historic space walk

BEIJING, Saturday (Reuters) - Chinese astronaut Zhai Zhigang began a historic space walk today, exiting the Shenzhou VII spacecraft high above the Earth for what is expected to be a 20-minute peek into the heavens, live television showed.

“I'm feeling quite well. I greet the Chinese people and the people of the world,” Zhai said as he clambered out of the craft.
