Due to popular demand, ABS is set to expand its qualification offering in Kandy by adding ACCA to the range of tuition available.

"We identified a substantial increase in demand for the ACCA Qualification", said ABS Director and CEO Wasantha Fernando. "ACCA is internationally renowned and we attribute this upsurge in interest to the portability and flexible nature of the qualification. Extending our ACCA tuition provision to Kandy makes good business sense for us."

ACCA Sri Lanka's Business Relationship Manager, Nilusha Ranasinghe, welcomes the news of ABS expansion. "ACCA is a relative newcomer to the Sri Lankan market, but our brand awareness has grown fast and this is reflected in demand from both prospective students and employers. And from January 2009, ABS will also offer Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) tuition at both its Colombo and Kandy centres. The ACCA CAT qualification is an ideal opportunity for those who are 16 or over to get a head start on a professional accountancy qualification. In addition to being a stand alone qualification, it also provides a route into ACCA's professional qualification.
