The choirs of Methodist College Colombo, Trinity College Kandy and St Anthony's College Katugastota, combine this Advent season for a special carol service on December 12 at 5.30 p.m. at the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour, Bauddhaloka Mawatha.The service will feature renditions by each choir as well as performances by the Combined Choirs of all three Colleges. There will also be an opportunity for congregation participation.
The Methodist College choir is trained and directed by Mahen Peiris, the Trinity College Choir by Lasantha Tennakoon and the Anthonian Choir by Revd. Fr. Aaraliya Jayasundera.
This will be a rare opportunity for Colombo residents to enjoy the music of these leading choirs.
All three school choirs are highly acclaimed with both Methodist and Trinity producing their own music CDs.
Entance will be free, while a collection will be taken during the service to support the work of the National Christian Council of Sri Lanka. |
