The Premier Tier ‘A’ cricket encounter between Bloomfield and Ragama CC who are the top two teams in the points table being played at Reid Avenue was poised for an interesting finish when play stopped on the second day.

The first days proceedings too was a low scoring affair with the home team being restricted to a score of 218 and tighting back to bundle out their opponents for a low 142 when stumps were drawn.
Bloomfield going into bat the second time fell into deep trouble with wickets falling at regular intervals and were made to struggle again and were bowled out for 159.
This left Ragama CC a victory target of 236 and they ended on 164 for 6 with veteran Indika de Saram unbeaten on 75 who in the process passed the 500 run mark.
