Travelling advances made by the Foreign Ministry from 1995 to end 2008 amounting to over Rs. 20.9 million remains unsettled, according to documents tabled in Parliament recently.
The travelling advances have been made to both politicians and government officials over the years but remain unsettled up to now.
The total amount in unsettled dues stood at over Rs. 30.07 million by end of last year but in January this year around Rs. 17.1 million of this amount was settled.
However, the outstanding balance still remains at over Rs. 20.9 million, the documents tabled in Parliament in response to a question raised by the JVP, revealed. |
