Veteran Marketer, author and co-author of 5 books, published in Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Malaysia, India and Canada and Registered Professional Marketer and Member of the Canadian Institute of Marketing was invited by the institute to present its first Webinar on February 23, 2009. The delivery to a worldwide audience was made from his residence at Rukmalgama using modern technology. In the quarterly journal of the Institute, its Executive Director Grant Lee, reports as follows:
"The topic of Dr. Madanayake's Webinar was the Positioning Triangle. He discussed 3 elements of Positioning; Corporate Positioning (Business that produces value), Product Positioning (The vehicle that delivers value) and Competitive Positioning (Competitors who offer alternative value). The Webinar was scheduled at a time when most members in Canada and other countries would be able to attend at a reasonable time.
The presentation opened with a remark from the Executive Director of the Institute, followed by a remark from Dr. Madanayake who then presented his Power Point Presentation".
