Bus service resumes after 3 years

After a lapse of three years, the CTB will start operating a passenger bus service between Jaffna and Vavuniya on the re-opened A9 route, which was closed in 2006.

The service will commence on June 25. Five new buses were recently handed over to the staff of the Jaffna CTB bus depot by MP Basil Rajapaksa, Senior Presidential Adviser and head of the Presidential Task Force for Northern Development.
