Cross Border Academy (CBA) in partnership with Dimensions International College, one of the largest and highly reputed hospitality management schools in Singapore and Wissen Academy Singapore, the accreditation body has introduced Hospitality Management Programmes to be undertaken in Sri Lanka, for example, Hotel and Restaurant Services, Integrated Resort Management and Hospitality Management.
Managing Director of CBA Yatila Wijemanne described that two forms of gateways are open for Sri Lankan students. The first gateway is where students complete part of their qualification in Sri Lanka and transfer to Singapore for full completion, leading on to a guaranteed industrial attachment in Singapore. This will provide them with a substantial cost saving on education. The second gateway is where students complete the entire Singapore accredited qualification in Sri Lanka and undertake an industrial attachment with one of the leading hotel chains in Sri Lanka. Furthermore, students will be trained on areas such as Restaurant Services and Operations, Accounting in Hospitality Management, Front Desk Operations, Event and Conference Services, Tableside Services, Customer Care, Food Safety and Hygiene and Accommodation Operations.
Breyvan Tan the Managing Director of Wissen Academy and Chair of the Academic Council of CBA highlighted that the programmes on offer will be conducted via complying with the quality standards of Singapore, the lecturers are of the highest quality with decades of hands on experience, and the facilities and equipment of the Academy are compliant with the required international standard. Breyvan Tan further stated Dimensions International College, a subsidiary of the Dimensions Education Group, Singapore has been in the education of Hospitality courses for over a decade. Due to the excellence in providing these programmes, Dimensions have been awarded the Singapore Quality Class (SQC), ISO, Case trust and other international service quality awards.
Furthermore, CBA has partnered with one of the leading banking institutions in Sri Lanka for purposes of facilitating students to seek financial assistance to undertake their studies in Sri Lanka and Singapore. CBA has commenced the process of educating Sri Lankan students to meet the demands within the Singapore and Sri Lankan hospitality and tourism industry, thus providing students with the opportunity to undertake internationally accredited Hospitality courses in Sri Lanka. |
