Tillekeratne Dilshan

Sri Lanka opening batsman Tillekeratne Dilshan who scored a sparkling century during the first Test was rushed to hospital with a broken nose while playing football and colliding with a team mate after their drawn first at Test Ahmedabad on Friday.

It is learned that after a quick surgery at Ahmedabad the team had left for Kanpur where the second Test begins on Tuesday along with Dilshan. Sri Lanka will have their first session of practice in Kanpur on Sunday where Dilshan is expected to participate.

Earlier prior to the first Test Dilshan sprained his ankle during practices, but showed no discomfort while batting during the first Test. Dilshan also held a good close in catch in the Indian second inning to dismiss their night watchman Amit Mishra on the final day of the match.
