A daughter’s hunt for maternal love

The ninth tele direction of Sampath Palitha de Saram, ‘Hiruta Pipena Suriyakantha’, a story of a daughter searching for maternal love, has completed its post production and is ready for telecast. Having produced popular teledramas like ‘Warna Kambili’, ‘Kadulu Thanchi’, ‘Dhawala Bandhana’, ‘Kulawanthayo’, ‘Sasara Ima’ and ‘Apuru Sohoyuro’, Palitha has ventured on his latest production, a story about a young girl who lives without maternal love.

The teledrama is directed by Sanjaya Shirantha Gunawardena who is famed for the directions like ‘Mathaka Manpetha’, ‘Amaya’, ‘Labai Apple’ and ‘Gajamuthu’.

The cast of ‘Hiruta Pipena Suriyakantha’ includes Cyril Dharmawardena, Kusum Renu, Rohana Beddage, Murie Samarasinghe, Srimal Wedisinghe, Sriyani Mahawatta, Dhananjaya Siriwardena, Udayanthi Kulatunga, Akila Sandakelum, Udayangani Samankumari, Neranjala Jayasinghe, Duminda Weerawardena, Susila Kottage, Shan Bandu Weerasinghe, Sugath Janaka, Lahiru Kulatunga and Sampath Palitha de Saram himself.

The screenplay is written by Priyanka Amaratunga and camera direction is by Chandana Dharmapriya. Edited by Saman Samarawickrema, make up is byPriyanka Tilak Ratnayake and the production managers are Rasika Gayan Pathirana and Sunil Shantha.
