MBA Night - Renewing old friendships and making new ones

The MBA Night 2010 was held on Saturday November 27 at the Cats' Eye Ballroom, Ceylon Continental Hotel, Colombo. The event was well attended with more than 100 MBAs and their spouses.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo Prof. (Mrs) Kshanika Hirimburegama, Dean of the Faculty of Management & Finance Dr P.S.M. Gunarathna, Unit Coordinator of Postgraduate and Mid Career Development, University of Colombo Mr. J.A.S.K. Jayakody and MBA Programme coordinators Dr. Kajendra, Dr. Azeez and Mrs. Kumudini graced the occasion representing the University of Colombo.

The event was a big success and gave the members an opportunity of renewing old friendships while making new ones too. Entertained by the fabulous music of "Infinity" managed by Chandimal Fernando, the Latin American dancing performed by "El Latino" added glamour to the event.

There were many fun activities, games, contests and a 'Brain teaser' session which made the evening lively and memorable. With the support extended by many public/corporate institutions and some individuals through sponsorships and gift items, the organizers managed to offer many prizes to the participants which included a return air ticket, a weekend for two Hotel package, dinner for two vouchers, gift hampers and free health check vouchers.

The event was organized by a committee chaired by Tharuka De Silva, which included Prasad Jayasuriya, Anusha Wijegunaratne, Shanaka Wijeweera and Rohana Ellawala.
