Groomed
for beauty
Former Mrs. Sri Lanka and 4th Runner-up at the Mrs. World Shivani
Wedanayake will launch her 'Models' grooming school in Colombo on
June 1. The school is targeted at all those who need that 'finishing
touch' that will take them places in their career whether it is
climbing the corporate ladder or succeeding in the modelling profession.
Shivani says
that this time she is focused on teaching not only aspiring models
but also career-oriented young women who are looking to acquire
the poise and finesse needed to take them to greater heights in
the corporate world.
The course will
be conducted every month commencing from June and will be restricted
to 30 applicants per class. It will cover the various aspects of
grooming that embodies the "Total Woman" like catwalk
training, posture and etiquette, diet and figure shaping, dress
sense, personality development, make-up techniques, hair care, skin
care and personal hygiene. At the end of the course each participant
will be awarded certificates.
The international
exposure and experience Shivani received while bringing laurels
to her country first as Sri Lanka's Model of the Year '92' and later
as Miss Sri Lanka '95', Mrs. Sri Lanka '99' and 4th Runner-up at
the Mrs. World, have made Shivani well- equipped to teach the finer
points of 'Total Grooming'. "Every Sri Lankan woman should
take extra care of her personal grooming to become successful in
life," she says.
