Shades
of light
'It's a very simple exhibition. A farewell of sorts to Chris Tribble,
who's been quietly helping photographers in this country in so many
ways," says Dominic
Sansoni.
Sansoni and
Gemunu Amarasinghe, two well-known names will exhibit their work
alongside Chris Tribble, the British photographer whose collection
has been drawn largely from his documentary work on educational
projects in Sri Lanka. The exhibition is simply titled "Available
Light' and as Gemunu Amarasinghe explains will focus on images taken
at dawn, daytime, dusk and night, in streetlight, candlelight...
all in available light.
Three large
images 3 1/2' x 7' will take up space at the Barefoot Gallery, alongside
some 20 photos from Sansoni's recent work, 19 from Tribble and 15
from Amarasinghe.
We'd like photographers
and everyone who's interested in seeing the work of three very different
photographers to come by and tell us what they think, adds Sansoni.
'Available
Light' is on at the Barefoot Gallery from July 19 - 26.
