Managing
Director Nizam Razzaq told the Sunday Times FT this was a novel
concept in learning where students could pick and mix traditional
and resource based systems to find the most perfect learning style
and the course to suit the commitment and importantly their purse.
He said flexible
learning is a process offered in a flexible mode with a blended
approach. Students can remain in their country, continue with their
careers and yet enjoy the benefits of being a student at a leading
University for chosen educational programmes. It helps students
to balance the demand of work, home and study in the way that suits
them best.
He said there
is face-to-face classroom teaching but it depends on the course
one has chosen. Some courses involve more formal lectures whilst
some need practical work. Students will be encouraged to undertake
work on their own.
There are students
who do not have time or inclination to attend lectures but at the
same time yearn for high quality education.
There are integrated
case study exams held at the British Council, Colombo under their
direct supervision.
The most popular
programme is the University of Leicester's MBA with the first batch
of students graduating this month at Leicester.
