Ex-Beatle late George Harrison comes as the star
of this week's 'Original Music Competition', which is organised
by M- Entertainment in collaboration with TV Times.
This is the
second contest for the year 2003 and the 'Original Music Competition',
which is the longest running competition on TV times, as usual give
away Sony CDs, audios, gift vouchers and posters to the readers
of TV Times.
George Harrison's
album 'Brainwashed' was released on November 18 on Dark Horse/EMI
Recorded Music.
Produced by
George, Jeff Lynne and Dhani Harrison, the album features 11 new
Harrison compositions, alongside a cover of the old standard 'Between
The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea.'
In addition
to lead and backing vocals, 'Brainwashed' features George Harrison
on electric and acoustic guitars (including slide & dobro),
ukulele, bass and keyboards. Jeff Lynne plays bass, piano, guitars
and keyboards and supplies backing vocals. Dhani Harrison plays
electric and acoustic guitars, Wurlitzer and contributes backing
vocals.
Other musicians
featured on 'Brainwashed' include drummer Jim Keltner who plays
on seven tracks and Mike Moran and Marc Mann on keyboards. Ray Cooper
plays drums on one track while 'Between The Devil And The Deep Blue
Sea' features Jools Holland (piano) and his band including Joe Brown
( acoustic rhythm guitar) and Herbie Flowers (bass & tuba).
The song 'Brainwashed'
includes Bikram Ghosh (tabla), Jon Lord (piano), Sam Brown (backing
vocals), Jane Lister (harp).
The album 'Brainwashed'
by George Harrison is now available at all M Entertainment authorized
dealers.
All the winners
of previous contests can collect their prizes from Maharaja Entertainment

All the entries

of judges.

of the judges will be final and the names of the winners will be
announced in The Sunday TV Times accordingly.

New
VCD from Chandimal
'Chandimal
and the Seconed Connection' released their latest VCD and a DVD
last week.
They were the
first to release a VCD in Sri Lanka and this is the 2nd DVD in the
local music industry.
The new VCD
comprises 16 songs. 'Intution' is the title of this VCD and the
DVD.
"With
this release I have now sixteen audio CDs, two video CDs, two double
C/Ds and one Digita Video Disc and sixteen audio tapes to my credit"
Chandimal said.
Chandimal has
the most number of CDs in Sri Lankan music industry.
Chandimal will be releasing his third VCD by the end of March along
with a Karaoke CD.
