Joe B. on Star Parade
The versatile singer Joe B Perera, Leader of the ‘Meemesso’ Calypso outfit will be featured on ‘Star Parade’ Programme on SLBC at 1.00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21.

Joe will sing three songs for this programme, two of which are Spanish oldies and one with Sinhala lyrics written by Joe himself in the 70’s which was a hit at that time - ‘Aadariya! “Ran Menika”.

The two Spanish numbers are ‘Chiquita Linda’ and ‘Besame Mornita’. This programme is produced by Nalin de Silva and presented by the popular Radio & TV personality Bevil Palihawadana.

Incidentally, Joe is planning to put out a CD and Cassette of his with some of his old hits such as Yakadathalanna, Malagiravi, Sudu Mal, Esala Perahera, Siripa Gamana, Ranmenika and Daskon along with 3 Spanish Numbers and some his own Christmas Carols. The CD and Cassette will be produced by JAW Entertainments and would be available during Christmas Festivities this year.

Joe also plans to sing some of the new numbers in the forthcoming Stars of 70’s Show produced and presented by Annesley Malawana and billed for performance during the Christmas season. The Band ‘Mahesh & Simple’ will back the Stars of 70’s as usual.
