Sri
Lanka at Indian Economic Summit
Sri Lanka is sending a delegation for the India Economic Summit
2003 organised by the World Economic Forum in partnership with the
Confederation of Indian Industry from November 23 to 25. Commerce
and Consumer Affairs Minister Ravi Karunanayake is leading the 16-member
delegation to be held under the theme 'Enhancing India's Competitiveness:
A must for growth'.
The 2003 summit
will assess India's competitiveness at the industry, state and country
level and will also focus on privileged relations between India
and the South-East Asian economies. The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce
is organizing the Sri Lankan delegation with a special working session
over lunch - just like at previous meetings - being to Sri Lanka
on November 25.
