Nishantha steers 'Patana'
A stroke-filled 97 by No. 3 batsman Saman Nishantha (with 11 fours and four sixes) steered Isipatana M.V. to a first innings points win over St. Benedict's College in a Lemonade Trophy Div. schools match played at the B.C. grounds, on Nov. 19. Isipatana winning the toss elected to bat first- totalled 188.

The Bens in reply made 149 all out. Kasun Wijetilleke 35 (with 5 fours) and Lahiru Perera 35 propped the batting. Patana in their second innings made 148 for 7 at the close.

Isipatana 188 (Saman Nishantha 97, Lahiru Perera 3 for 54) and 148 for 7 (Liyan de Silva 43, Gihan Dilruke 43 ( 4 fours and 2 sixes) (Tharindu Bilshan 4 for 48).
St. Benedict's 149 all out (Kasun Wijetilleke 35, L. Perera 35). -BW
