Jayasri to rock the Lankan season
Full strength of raggae blasters ‘Jayasiri’ will be in Sri Lanka for the coming festive season. They will be here in Mid December for one month of vibrant performances.

According to Rohitha, the boys hope to release two or three new tracks in Colombo from their new album ‘Jayasiri’. Last summer was hectic for the band and they were travelling from one town to another in Europe. They were in action in Austria, Germany, Italy, France Turkey and Cyprus.

To mention a few great festivals were..... Germany’s “Hessen Tage” festival in Bad Arolsen with HR3 Live, Frankfurt Stadt Fest- MTV Open air. Sonic Asian Vibrations fest, Chill Valley Festival, Volksstimme Festival in Vienna and “Hallamasch” Vienna. “This is one of the biggest World music Festivals in Europe and we were representing Sri Lanka and giving our original Jayasiri music.” said Rohitha.

Also there were tours to Italy and Cyprus - shows organized by Sri Lankans living there. Modena and Nicosia concerts were unforgettable!! reaching very close to our Sri Lankan brothers and sisters with our music, he said.
‘Also we were involved in some major advertising campaigns such as T-Mobile Europe (Summerhit and add “Jamming in da sun”), Suzuki Cars ad (single “It’s so easy”) widening our Jayasri talents with European advertising agencies, Rohitha explained.

‘Our other projects Banditos Bonitos and Ravers on Dope (Austrian Grammy Amadeus Award winners) are moving successfully in their own different genres of music. With all these credits, Know-how, contacts..... We try to get the attention of the International Music Industry towards Sri Lanka and its music. This is our aim’ the boys said.
