Chamber
'roundtable' on constitutional crisis
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has organised a "closed-door
roundtable" for its members to discuss the constitutional and
parliamentary crisis with experts in constitutional law and parliamentary
affairs.
The discussion,
to be held on December 11 at the chamber, was organised in response
to concern over the current political deadlock expressed by many
chamber members and the constitutional and parliamentary issues
involved.
Nihal Seneviratne,
former Secretary-General of Parliament, R.K.W. Goonesekera, attorney-at-law
specialising in constitutional law and Rohan Edrisinha, lecturer
in Constitutional Law at the Colombo University and Director-Legal
of the Centre for Policy Alternatives will make presentations on
the crisis. |
